ice worms

Ice worms are large worms native to the Southern Continents. Ice worms live underneath ice and burst out of it and ambush their prey. Ice worms are about 70 feet (21.3 meters) long and have thick shiny skin and thick blubber that lets them survive the cold temperatures. Their skin is mostly grey/white. The heads of ice worms are eyeless, instead they have many barbs and hairs coming out of their head that detect vibrations in the ground to locate their prey. The mouth of an ice worm is made up of a four sectioned jaws that make up the entire head of the worm. When the jaw is closed it resembles a cone and when it is open it's four sections fan out and reveal countless sharp teeth.
