Homunculi

Homunculi are artificially created lifeforms. Homunculi are created first making a special liquid, which will look red with yellow and orange, then you need to take an an egg while the animal within is in it's embryonic stage. It's important to use an egg where the animal growing inside is at it's earliest stage of development so you can alter it's grown more easily. Genetic material and proteins can be used to alter the way the animal will grow. Certain mixtures of proteins and DNA have been created to alter homunculi in specific ways, like massive growth or no pain.
Homunculi were invented by 390 in Drakka, they weren't used much until one kingdom in Drakka started created massive weaponized homunculi using Shorian Empire technology. This kingdom used their homunculi to conquer all of Drakka, forming the Drakkan Empire.
