Fire Shamans
Fire shamans are Merindian shamans which can control fire and worship at the Volcanolith, they are rarer than other shamans because of their rituals to gain their power. Fire shamans follow the Merindian Religion and get their power from the great volcanic fire spirits told about in the religion.
Fire shamans have control over fire and heat, and can withstand temperatures far greater than the average human can. They get their powers by communicating with powerful spirits of fire that are found in the lava lake found in the mountains of Merindia. The greater the heat of the shaman, the more easily they can speak to fire spirits, so fire shamans increase their heat resistance to be able to speak to these spirits and gain powers from them. The greatest fire shamans are able withstand being submerged in lava, and being on fire without showing any signs of injury.
Fire shamans can control fire in many ways, being able to shoot jets of flames out of their hands in many shapes, They are also often great blacksmiths, as many fire shamans are able to hold the heated metal with their bare hands. Fire shamans use their magic and blacksmithing to create Magic tools and weapons that have magic fire powers, and carving ancient Merindian runes into them.
The lava lake is formed from a huge caldera which is found between 3 other volcanoes. On the east side of the caldera there is a flat rocky area where there is a large structure called the volcanolith, under the volcanolith their is a complex of descending rooms that get hotter the lower down they go, with greater fire shamans being lower down, and there being many blacksmithing areas.
Fire shamans wear charred grey/black robes that are decorated with glowing fire runes.
