explorer's guild hall
The explorers guild hall is a large structure that serves as the headquarters of the Explorer's Guild. The explorers guild hall is located on the edge of a large area which is the hall grounds. On the hall grounds there is a public museum, an airship tower, a dock, and other things that explorers would want.
The layout of the guild hall itself is that there is a hallway that leads to a large center room, which most other rooms are connected to.
This center room is 4 floors tall (45 feet (13.7 meters) to be exact). It has 2 layers of balconies on the side walls and the one opposite of the main entrance. Each balcony leads to hallways that all lead to other important rooms. The roof of the main room is a dome that has a map of the entire known world painted on it. The center room is quite beautiful, with the main floor serving as a sort of museum that showcases all of the Explorer's Guild's greatest finds, and also a lounge for the explorer's guild to relax in. The balconies and the staircases that lead to them all have expensive wooden railings and there are many paintings and artifacts on the walls.
Some other notable parts of the guild hall are: the navigation room, the armoury (in case of attack), the dining room, which can hold hundreds of people at once, the pool, the submarine dock, which is a large area underwater where submarines dock, the several airship towers, the dock, and the archive.
Architecture
The guild hall is built will standard Merindian architecture, being made up of dark metal pillars and arches. On the outside, between the pillars and arches there are large stone bricks that make it appear somewhat like a castle. The inside is mostly made out of, dark, rich coloured wood.
History
The construction of the guild hall began when the Explorer's Guild was founded, in 803. It has served as their headquarters ever since and has received many upgrades over the many years.
