agamon boar

The agamon boar is a large species of boar from southeast Merindia and western Mora.

Description

Agamon boars are massive hogs, they are about 2 meters (6.5 feet) and 4 meters (13.1 feet long). They resemble massive boars, and they have a ridge of bristley hairs along the back of their necks, and 2 massive tusks curling back that extending from their bottom jaws, with another pair of shorter tusks behind them. Agamon boars have less fur than other boars too, because they are larger and live in hot environments.

Behavior

Agamon boars tend to live in small groups of 4-12. Agamon boars are highly aggressive towards humans, and with their huge size and speed, tough hide, and massive tusks they are very dangerous to almost everyone who encounters them. Agamon boars can eat almost anything, but they usually eat plants, but will scavenge corpses or kill weakened animals for food.

Hunting

Agamon boars are difficult to hunt but their tusks are highly prized. They are difficult to hunt because it always takes at least several shots to actually kill them due to their incredibly strong hides, and even when they are injured they tend to attack the hunter instead of running, and this can lead to many people dying while trying to hunt agamon boars.   In the Agamenian Empire the agamon boar was hunted with only melee weapons by the empire's greatest warriors. The agamon boar was considered an incredible challenge to hunt and killing them was considered a great feat of strength that would bring glory to anyone who achieved it. The agamon boar became very important to the Agamenian Empire, and the species was used to represent the empire itself.
