Hircus - God of the Hunt
"Taste your enemies' blood on the wind, and smell their footsteps in the sand. There has never been a grander Hunt than this war. Do not abstain. Allow yourself the freedom to indulge in it, and know that I do to." - Avatar of Hircus

The City is the beacon by which we all navigate; but the fate of the world will be decided out here in the wilds, with blood and steel. Embrace it.
The Hunt is sacred. Do not disrespect it by giving any less than your best.
Do not apologise for your desires. Dance in the moonlight. Bathe in the rivers. Revel in the hunt.
The Church of Hircus
The dedicated of Hircus tend to be warriors and hunters, although his focus on being true to yourself, attracts all sorts. Many of his sacred rites, however, take place outside the safety of the city's walls. Consequently, those most elevated in the church tend to have a strength of arms, regardless of their walk of life. Politically, the Church is largely concerned with the waging of war against Malthracion, upholding the belief that Amaranth won't truly be free until they are no longer beset by that great enemy. As such, they tend to advocate any means to end the war, whilst still upholding individual rights and freedoms. (A few clumsy political operators from the Church have, from time to time, failed to uphold the latter part of that; and have been subsequently chastised and demerited, after advocating for what amounts to forced labour.) The church has also been one of the foremost proponents of the skyships' expeditions into the wilderness, to seek and reclaim. And members of the church volunteered in droves to crew them. (The Admiralty has attempted to keep the crews of the skyships somewhat balanced in faith, nonetheless.)Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
