Blasted Artifices

Far to the east of Amaranth, reports are starting to surface of settlement-sized sites full of elaborate mechanisms and metal structures. Structures such as water-wheels and minecart tracks are easily identified, as well as more elaborate artifices; bearing more resemblance to the newly-developed engines of your Keyships. But adding to this mystery is the somewhat horrifying reports of vast tracts of these lands having been scorched and blackened by some force, that has even melted many of these standing metal structures, reducing their contents and these mechanisms to unrecognisable slag.
