Tribal Temple

Located in the Isle of Kings, a massive underground temple that is thousands of years old can be found. The temple has massive statues of gods, and a place where the tribes who once worshipped here made sacrifices. No one knows how the temple went underground, but researchers believe the temple sunk due to a storm or flood.

Purpose / Function

The temple was used by ancient tribes for worshipping pagan gods, making sacrifices, praying to gods, etc.

Alterations

The temple has been temporarily held up by extra supports to keep the temple from crumbling to pieces, but other than that, no other things have been done to preserve it.

Architecture

The building has massive pillars holding up the temple, and inscriptions are etched into these pillars. Researchers believe that the inscriptions were from the priests keeping records of the sacrifices made there. There are hundreds of winding hallways that go deep underground. The temple is made out of stone that once was painted white or light grey.

Defenses

In one of the hallways leading to the main sacrificial area, there is a nearly invisible string that when triggered, will cause a log with metal spikes to swing out and crush whoever activated the trap.

History

Tribes once used this temple for sacrifices, worshipping gods, prayer, and other stuff. 30 or 40 years later, the temple sunk into the ground due to a heavy flood.
