Altikar Temple (all-tick-ar temple)
The Altikar Temple is a temple designed for the Altikar celebration in which everyone goes to the temple to make sacrifices to gods for wealth, or to make up for wrongdoings. Thousands of animals and (rarely) humans are sacrificed every day in the temple. The Rhymenians believe that the aromas wafting from the sacrifices go into the sky and into the Elyseum where the gods can smell and recieve the sacrifices. The temple has high priests who have to check the animals to make sure they are without blemish or imperfections before they can be sacrificed. The temple is very beautiful and majestic, but it is not for the looks, but instead for the function.
Purpose / Function
