The Blood Pen

The Blood Pen is an old relic that is cherished by the King's Librarians. The Blood Pen's origins are a mystery, the only thing that is known is that it was created during the time before the Red King's reign.    This extraordinary pen is a dangerous tool to use and has not been touched in centuries. This pen uses the blood of the writer to transcribe the truth and only the truth. If any lie or opinion is written with this pen, all words written by the write will spill from the page and all the blood in the person will be pulled from them, leaving them a dry husk.    This pen was used to write the history of the kingdom to ensure no lies would write, but all transcripts of the Red King's reign were taken by the six beasts when they scattered to the different corners of the kingdom. Because of the authority of the pen and the lack of evidence, the Red King's reign has become nothing more than a fairytale.    Returning to the pen itself, it has recently become known that there is a way to return the blood of those who have written lies if their heart is still attempting to beat, but until it is found how to do so, the pen's use has been banned.    Today, many people wish to use the pen to determine the honesty of the ruling kings and to ensure the history of their time is not fabricated by greedy rulers who wish to be remembered in a better light. Historians long to study the inscriptions of the pen to learn how the magic is stored and how it has remained for so long.    Nevertheless, this pen, despite the accuracy it may give in the time, has been used to torture the writer as it brings immense pain to all who write even a word with it whether it be fact or fiction. People have also found a workaround to this pen by feeding people with lies to make them believe it is true.    The Blood Pen may be able to tell when a person is lying about what they wrote, but if the person who is writing believes the lie is the truth, so will the pen.
