Baukyu

Baukyu is one of the six major cities in the kingdom of Pacellum and is known for many things from being the Sins' home to its rich and amorous history. They are the city that has great ties to the Pheonix who in stories is linked to all fires including the fire of love and passion. To continue this respect, Baukyu is a city for lovers and the lonely looking for new passions.    Baukyu exports water products, fish, salt, wheat, wines, and vodka for minerals, herbs.  Baukyu is slightly smaller than Glatkōri, but is also an important port for trade. Likari, Atemdo, and Feuerkas, are the other major cities in the kingdom, and are regional capitals like Glatkōri are Baukyu are as well, they connect directly with Sentalung. There are several cities and villages not on the map, but there are only six major cities in the kingdom.   Despite its name suggesting its origins to the Wyrm, Baukyu is the city of fire and passion, not the ground and darkness. Dispite its surface appearance being only about the passions of the body, the city embodies the desires of all passions. They have the largest public library and is said to be the happiest city in the Kingdom.    Taxes are high in the city, but the Duke (a quiet and reserved man who no one would believe rules over the boisterous city of Baukyu) puts a lot of the money back into the city. He's working on creating a universe education and so far requires all children to attend at least two years of schooling before taking up a trade. He would like to increase the time and knowledge children learn because he believes that knowledge drives one's passion and he wants all his people to fulfill their greatest passions in life.    The city welcomes all work as long as it doesn't injury people or traumatized people. All religions and beliefs are also welcome as long as it does not push hate onto a group of people for existing. This welcoming attitude makes it one of the only places that openly welcomes the Gifted. While they are still quiet about their existence, the Gifted don't have to fear being killed if their secret is discovered like one would if they lived in Likari or Feuerkas.
