Sagasteel is a mineral found in Sin-Hallodri and is used in the creation of powerful armour and weapons. It is sought after for its usage in metal alloys due to its strength, but also for its magick-channeling qualities, allowing those holding an item made of sagasteel to bond their magicks with it.
Sagasteel can be found all across Sin-Hallodri, specifically in mountains and under the ground, in the form of Sagatite or Laganitite. Although the Dwarves are able to access both ores in their mines, Kruhlmaak Goblins rely on stealing and taking it from the Dwarves to reforge in their own image. Kruhlmaak Goblins also believe that Sagasteel forms beneath hard-fought but victorious battles, earning it the name of 'saga'.

Material Characteristics

Unrefined Sagasteel ore is a metallic indigo, and depending on the quality of the Sagatite or Laganitite ores used it can either be a lighter or darker shade. When smithed it often turns into a bright silverish hue, with faint tinges of its former indigo colour if looked at certain angles in a bright light.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Sagasteel is one of the strongest metals on Sin-Hallodri and in Oszmorthorn, but is not the most tensile, making it possible to work without access to the forges in Sin-Mordallhitt, the Erd-Honn Dwarven capitol. Those who possess any form of magical power are able to bond their magicks with the metal, allowing them to channel it through the metal.
Kruhlmaak Goblin Leaders often commission Sagasteel armour for the sole purpose of combining it with the hide of their chosen 'deyrandir' and gaining their powers. This process is similar to the Sagasteel's magick-bonding property and, when combined in some form, allows them to wear Sagasteel armour while harnessing their deyrandir's powers.

Compounds

Sagasteel can be used in almost any compound to include magick-bonding properties, but the effectiveness of this property varies between compounds. Some metals are very compatible, while others are less effective.

Life & Expiration

Pure Sagasteel can maintain magical energy for an hour before dissipating, while Sagasteel used in other compounds loses its magick within minutes.
