Ashet Camp
Purpose / Function
This is the area that Ashet lives with his most trusted associates and surrounded by the most elite of gladiatorial fighters. From here he oversees the newly freed slaves and plans their next moves in a quest for freedom and revenge.
Design
Beyond the stairs upon the landing before the doors to the city of Obress proper, lies the camp of Ashet. It consists of several large tents that lay within the shadow of the once great city.
Entries
Two sets of very steep stairs lead from the courtyard to a large landing before entering Obress proper. It is protected by several dozen gladiatorial soldiers.
Sensory & Appearance
The steep stairs make one feel as if they are ascending unto heights of the heavens where the gods may look down upon their creations. Each entry up to the landing is flanked by gladiatorial guard with hands on their weapons at the slightest hint of treachery or mischief. The shadows grow and the air becomes cooler compared to the heat of the blazing sun and dry sands. As the top is reached half a dozen armed and armored individuals stand guard around a single large tent just before the doors to Obress proper. As you approach the decrepit city the feeling of dread and misery begin to wash over you in waves. Approaching closer the feelings intensify almost turning to a state of panic and worry.
Denizens
Ashet can be located in the central tent where he lives and runs the going on's of the encampment below. Many guards can be found roaming the area keeping it safe from any potential threats to Ashet and the operations being conducted. Living here also are Amos and Nat, Ashets two most trusted advisers and friends.
Contents & Furnishings
Ashet's tent is simple, possessing a two bedrolls at the far end for himself and his pet, a single simple at the center of the room which atop is covered in maps and parchment, and three simple chairs. One for Ashet and two for potential guests or advisers.
Valuables
To the left of Ashets tent is a wooden stand draped with a white scaled armor adorned with red markings and a long curved sword of unknown craftsmanship hanging from a scabbard. To the right is a locked wooden chest.
Hazards & Traps
The tent is guarded by no less than two guards and Ashet's pet Goranops.
