Crossbones
Crossbones is a pirate lich.
Recruitment of Crew
"...you don't choose to part part of the ship. The ship chooses you," he replies quietly. "Sometimes she'll dock in Rumrunner's or Nende or other port towns in the middle of the night after she's lost men in a raid. You feel this...this pull. Deep in your bones. Lowlifes and bilge rats feel it, mostly--it calls to the people it needs. And we come. No one ever notices, because the kind of people that would work on a ship like that aren't the kinds of people that leave behind people who would miss them if they were gone." He falls quiet for a moment, lost in thought. "We all walked to the ship and we all showed up at the same time. It's eerie when you're the one being called and you don't know what's goin' on. But it's downright bone-chilling when you're on the other side, watching these men shuffle onto the deck like zombies, confused and sedated." "I can't imagine what it would be like to suddenly loose control of yourself like that, is leaving the same way, or did you get to choose that?" Toz asks. Quinn smirks. "Sorta. I guess. The entire time you're there, you want to be there. And I'm still proud of my time spent on The Dragon. I wouldn't change anything about my life. But if you survive long enough, eventually, you just...get your land legs again. It's unspoken. No one says goodbye, no one acknowledges it, but everybody...feels it? You just take your bag like you're going on shore leave to fuck some whores, but you never come back." He leans his head to the side and cracks his neck, letting out a sigh and a low grunt. "Not a lot of us live long enough to tell that tale, though." "You had said keeping a dead crew would be take a lot of energy, I guess one step down is mild mind control of a crew. Being a pirate on a normal ship is dangerous, it makes sense being on a lich's pirate ship is an even more deadly occupation. How long were you on the ship?" "To be honest, I don't think it was mind control," Quinn grunts. "I think that the call reached out to the people who would want to be there...and then we came." He gets up and walks into the kitchen, grabs a bottle of rum, and returns. "I was on the ship fifteen years," he sighs, drinking straight from the bottle.Mental characteristics

Very confident pirate lich. He’s always 300 steps ahead of everyone. Never surprised, maybe annoyed. Very little emotions in anything.
Morality & Philosophy
Very anti-government and anti-establishment after his time as a Sentry.
Taboos
Crossbones is vehemently anti-slavery.
Relationships
History
He gave Toz a book that allows him to contact her (and also spy on her with Scrying, unbeknownst to her). He gave her a mission to free slaves at Bloodmoon Cove, which she completed successfully, putting her even more in his favor. He then gave her a mission to find the "rat" at Rumrunner's Retreat, which she completed. She then fetched an important glowy rock in another Sentry's tower, which was warded to protect against him, and gave it to him. Crossbones is very fond of Toz.
