New Grimgon's Soldiers are usually averagely trained, their strength lies more so in numbers and a good tactician rather than individually skilled soldiers.

The army is one the more luxurious jobs a none noble could ask for. decent pay, residence and food cared for, and a decent pay at that.
there are only about a fraction of the population as soldiers, that number is increased in times of need by having on-stand soldiers that are not actively paid or employed.
So the number could very from 100,000 to 300,000 at extreme times.
Equipment
Most Soldiers wear longbows or crossbows along with a melee weapon of their choice such as long sword, pike or a trusty mace.
most wear medium or heavy armor made out of simple iron.
Weaponry
Longbows, Crossbows, Swords, Shield, Pikes, Balistas, Spears, Lances, and other varied weapon smithies make.
Vehicles
Axebeaks and Horses are the main transportion on the battlefield.
