Legends past speak of a Calamity ravishing the lands, plagues,wars,famine and crime were common to the richest of once noble families.   The origins of The Calamity were unknown to common folk, one day toiling the fields for harvest another hiding in caves. devoted religious groups pointed their fingers at the dissatisfaction of the gods claiming they were dissatisfied with us. giving rise to what is now known as the "Outside Cultist" or "Forbidden Church's".   The luckiest of Noblest fled for the few safe havens in form of large underground abandoned ruins or other hard to find or reach natural sanctuaries. Once remote locations was where they built their lives anew accepting refuges fleeing from the Calamity only to have them act as subjects of their new "Royal Order" at least that's how it was in the city atop of the ruins "New Grimgon". a massive city once acting as a place of exile and abandonment of the lowest of men in ancient times.   There are still villages and minor villages in the outside world besides of the trading factions that stumble upon New Grimgon occasionally.     The Giants of the West In slumber are unaffected by the Calamity, it is only their distant descendants that struggle.   Caravans of the Great Bazaar consistent of traveling nomads selling wares, equipment and trinkets of all sorts, their ability to traverse the dangerous outside world is a mystery many seek an answer to.   Dragons of the Southern Isles prosper by remaining isolated from the mainland.   The Blades of the East thrive off conflict and war, although not savages they are a proud faction of mercenaries and warriors.   Yet no one has heard of the Northern holds or tribes in centuries since the Calamity.
