Basic Information
Anatomy
This particular species of spider grows to the size of humans, with eight nimble legs designed for caves specifically. With black coloring, these spiders are named for their ability to cloak with their surroundings. Phase Spiders have sharp fangs known to be capable of piercing plate armor, combined with their acidic ability. Even some phase spiders are able to spit their acid up to fifteen meters.
Ecology and Habitats
Phase Spiders are commonly located in sewers or other dark locations. A frequent problem found within the Underdark are cluster phase spiders inhabiting well traveled caves, using their webs to string across the entrance way.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Phase spiders eat the traditional foods, with the traditional methods, except for their preference for small creatures as they're easily defeated. When provoked, a phase spider will select the weakest creature, unless that target is well protected. This type of creature is also known to be a patient hunter by waiting for their prey to stumble into the webbing.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Phase spiders rely on their webbing to transfer information about their preys. Some researchers believe phase spiders are capable of echolocation, however this continues to be a myth.
