Micro-sized cristaline compound sand

It is sand obtained in the Dead Lands, which is the only known place currently to have it, the best use for it is protective glass windows or glass trinkets and vases that can be more durable than those of regular glass.   In the desert kobold interior, the glass is used as supports and also gives the interior a classy crystal look. Many artisans in Pebalaman are experimenting with alternative uses for the glass, like very fine tooltips.
One of the artisans has become famous in the town for trying and still working on making full plate armor, that would be very slightly weaker, but a lot lighter. During the blowing of the glass, pigment can be added and change the overall look of the armor.
Another blacksmith has found that it is possible to create swords and other weapons from the glass, altho he suggests still using metal Warhammers because you want that to be heavy.
