Shrine to Avandra
While the exterior of this building is unimposing timber framed plaster, the interior has a much more grand feel. The ceiling is vaulted, and an altar stands before a statue of Avandra. The robes of the goddess fall about her sandaled feet, her staff taller than most that enter the shrine. Carved of oak, her features have long weathered into suggestion instead of detail, but the impact is the same.
A small figure is sitting before her in mediation, green hair vibrant against the muted wood in the rest of the shrine. He starts as he hears you approach.
"Visitors! Hello! I trust your journey has been fruitful. We have a place to wash up and rest before you continue. What can I do for you?"
Purpose / Function
This large shrine is dedicated to Avandra, the goddess of travel, adventure, and the frontier. There are two places for travelers to bathe, and a cot or bedroll is always available for those who need a rest before continuing their journey. Currently, Snickelfritz Hibenzo Vendrooks is the cleric in charge of the shrine.
