Arassh

Arassh, also known as the Conquered Lands, was initially the homeland of the Orcs and called "Orkalak", but two thousand years or so ago, it was invaded by the Dragonborn, who sought to escape their ashen homeland. The desperation and natural weapons of the Dragonborn lead them to victory, conquering Orkalak and claiming it as a sort of colony. Though Orcs are largely treated as lesser than the victorious Dragonborn and many pieces of Orcish script were destroyed, Arassh embraces a blending of Orcish and Draconic culture. The Dragonborn that invaded those many millenia ago are vastly different than the ones that exist now, leading some to jokingly refer to them as DragonbOrc instead. Many of the cities in Arassh stand in the same place as they had when the Dragonborn initially invaded all those years ago, though now under completely different names.

History

Around a millennium and a half ago, the Dragonborn Invasion started the creation of Sarassh slowly with every city captured. Its first king Halasarss was widely influential in the early years, and he is infamous for bringing about the invasion at all. A long time after he had passed, Torykan Roeakar, one of the world's most influential people, was born to royal blood. His ideas are considered controversial by the public, but they are known to work, and as such he is spoken of world-wide.

War History

In its time, Arassh has fought many wars against many foes. Most notably, of course, is the Dragonborn Invasion, which started the kingdom's very existence. Very soon afterwards the Dragonborn of Sshir Brook (Donile Brook) had mysteriously changed into Lizardfolk, and because they wanted very badly to be independent they fought the Dragonborn in the Lizardfolk Skirmishes. Since then, the Dragonborn have been more focused on campaigning southwards and conquering what little of the Kalak Peninsula they had not already. There have been hundreds of campaigns in order to conquer parts of southern Kalak and its surrounding islands, but the region is proving harder to maintain with each chunk of territory gained.
