Pixie-Woods

The Pixie Woods are a central region of Ekura, separating the Ekuran Desert, Southern Ekura, and the Drowned Peninsula. It is known for its high humidity and large variety in flora and fauna, as well as its ubiquitous magical aura. It is inhabited mostly by Fairies and Human-Animal Hybrids, although its hostile fauna and unrestrained floral growth make the foundation of major settlements impossible.
Over the centuries, humans and other sapient species have tried multiple times to claim a part of the woods as their territory, for their soil and humid climate offer ideal circumstances for agriculture, but every attempt so far has failed within less than a year. Detailed cartography of the region has not succeeded either so far, as the land itself seems to be ever shifting and changing.
