Personal history

Beloved by the Marines of G-8, Verkom earned a reputation as the "The Commodore of Compassion." He is a strong believer that positive reinforcement is the most effective method for getting results. When he isn't doing the paperwork required of a Commodore, he can often be found inside the kitchens of G-8 preparing the meals alongside the chefs because he "wants to be as close as possible to his marines so he can show his thanks." Thursdays are Chili Day, and while the chili itself is far from impressive, the marines look forward to it because it's made with love. He was temporarily replaced as Commander of G-8 by Robuck L. Garinger. Now that Garinger has been dealt with, Verkom can resume making G-8 one of the happiest places in The Grand Line.
