Personal history
Born from nothing, Saki kicked and clawed her way into a position of respect. She became the matriarch of an all female biker gang and ran wild on the high seas during The Time of War. This was an important time in shaping her personality because if you wanted to survive, you had to be tough. More than tough, you had to be unbreakable. Those who rode with her originally said she "cared for her sisters, but was a stone cold bitch when it came down to it."
Life as a biker queen gave her plenty of opportunity. Saki ended up fooling around and eventually had a daughter, who in turn had a daughter of her own, Reiko. Saki was jaded and distant from her family because it was all she knew. One day Saki's daughter was brutally murdered by pirates and Reiko ran off into The Grand Line. Saki was overcome with an immeasurable amount of guilt and made it her life's mission to find Reiko and make things right.
She spent years searching every island, brutalizing pirate crew after pirate crew. The burgeoning World Government took notice, and soon afterwards she signed on with The Marines if only to use their eyes and ears. The morals and beliefs of the World Government didn't matter to Saki, she only cared about finding Reiko. When the two eventually crossed paths, Reiko was a mirror image of Saki in her younger days. Heartbroken over what she had created, Saki vowed to help Reiko come to peace like she had, even if Reiko didn't see things that way. Saki's lifestyle left little room for caring, and it cost Saki a relationship with her family. She will not make the same mistake again.
Admiral Saki was given her epithet of "The Wall" because she serves as an immovable object against anything that would try to harm her comrades. Due to a combination of her Conqueror's Haki and her innate ability to withstand absurd levels of punishment without flinching, she has never given a single inch of ground in her 20 years serving in The Marines.
