Artistic creation
After stained glass was invented in 675, the Church was quick to add it to its buildings.
An alchemist accidentally created colored glass and quickly realized his luck. Throwing his old work to the side, he developed this ‘stained’ glass concept and sold it to royalty and the rich far and wide. The Church was quick to snatch up a significant amount of it, finding it a wonderful way to show images of past parables to those who were poorer and uneducated. After two years, the stained glass windows were completed, replacing the old clear glass.
