Death of the Alphalodon

The Alphalodon, whose carcass can be seen even today surrounding the city of Cran'Tal, was said to be a long-lived gargantuan beast that took the combined effort of all the nations of the mainland continent at the time to vanquish.
It is heavily speculated that the group of adventurers leading the army that vanquished the great beast became gods and vanished from Gaia, all save for one who remained, a small being now referred to as The Shepherd. Others say the party died in their confrontation with the beast. The truth, however, seems to have been completely lost in time. Only the bones of an immeasurably large beast remain to tell the tale.
