Kaynağı Ateş

(Turkish) Source of Fire

Kaynağı Ateş was a great workshop located within the magma chamber of an ancient volcano. It was the epicenter of Brucaire culture (Elemental) - from this place the Brucaire cast fire into the world.

Purpose / Function

Kaynağı Ateş was created by the Brucaire (Elemental) around the second of Dört Göz.   Together the Tafe, the Fuku, and the Bauen, and the Brucaire created the world. Within Kaynağı Ateş, the Brucaire harnessed fire and provided the world with heat and light under the direction of Redel Fuoco.   The Brucaire softened rock so the Bauen could make bricks to set the world's foundation. As their skills increased and their bonds with the Bauen grew, the Brucaire made glass, crystals, metals and alloys, so the Bauen could build Elemental larger, more ornate structures and better tools.   The Brucaire and the Tafe worked together to bedazzle the world with ice, rain, and steam so the environment would be support life. Eventually they learned how steam could be used to power machines, and water can be used to make obsidian and strengthen alloys.   Most important of all, the Brucaire drew its life from the Fuku. The wind allowed fire to live and grow. A gust of air set castings in place and kept the fire from becoming untamed consuming all. In exchanged, the Fuku could rise ever higher to chart the furthest reaches of creation and breathe life wherever they pleased.

Architecture

Kaynağı Ateş is a large refinery, forge, workshop, and factory all in one. Great stone halls in the likeness of stereotypical dwarven fantasy abound. Beneath overhead cranes lay massive blast furnaces standing amid monumental bins of unprocessed ore and vats of quenching fluids. Several side rooms contain inumerable aisles of casting molds. In the main workshop, tools hang from chains and line the walls despite the finely wrought metal worktables are already covered with a litany of gadgets like the steampunk laboratory of the mad hatter. Every surface is glass-smooth from ages of immense heat although many are marred by scorch marks and almost everything is covered in a film of fine soot.

History

Upon the destruction of The First Aspect, Redel Fuoco closed the second eye and Kaynağı Ateş fell silent for the first time. The Brucaire dispersed into the new world and presumably died out.   With no fire to feed it, the volcano first went dormant, then extinct, and than glacialiated.   The rooms are as dark as when Yggdrasaed during Kararanay (Olutanrian Calendar). The blast furnaces are cold, the quenching fluids frozen solid. The tools are rusted and the gadgets frozen solid and defunct. Upon closer inspection, the fine soot is like a black frost freezing the entire place in time.
