Alpha Tyrranax

From MTG: Scars of Mirrodin
A species of large green dinosaur native to the world of Mirrodin. These apex predators are particularly vicious, but thankfully not very bright. Hiding in small crevices and tight spaces is the easiest way to avoid them. Their destructive power can circumvent this, however-so beware!

Basic Information

Anatomy

Bipedal beasts with two short clawed arms, a conical head, and a long tail. Their hand and back are laden with jagged spines-they aren't sharp, but further add to their intimnidation factor.

Biological Traits

Oddly, the most varied feature between individuals is arm size. Some specimines have even smaller arms. They are no less dangerous however.

Genetics and Reproduction

They lay large green and orange-speckled eggs. These eggs take roughly 9 months to hatch.

Growth Rate & Stages

From baby to adult takes roughly 10 years. They begin hunting at 7 years old (adolescence)

Ecology and Habitats

Found in large forest regions, and within Mirran Paradox Dungeons.

Dietary Needs and Habits

It is a solitary hunter, and will feast on any creature- even those bigger than itself. They have even been seen Triumphantly eating Primordial Wurms.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Very solitary creatures. the males cannot stand other males of their kind, and often fight for 'alpha' status-usually resulting in the death of one or both of them.

Facial characteristics

Sceintists are unsure about the eyes of the Alpha Tyrranax, as it appears to have 4on each side of its head, and not all in the same place. only two of these eyes on either side even function, and do very little to improve this creature's vision in any way.

Average Intelligence

Very low. sometimes witnessed crashing into large trees when hunting prey, and often losing their targets.
