Free Traders Union
The Free Traders Union began existence as the Corporation for Profit Controls and Entrepeneurs' Self-Regulation, which was not a corporation in the Capitalist Age sense but in the more broad definition of a legal entity empowered to enact regulation, sue, and be sued on behalf of its constituent members. Its policies trace to movements in the Sylvia Provisional Government where progressive small merchants, frustrated with monopoly domination over their businesses, aligned with center-leaning workers' factions to elaborate an alternative form of market libertarianism. In the past they have alternated between warmer and cooler relations with the Rose Commission and the Federation, though war with the Mandate has forced the superpowers to cooperate in many circumstances where they otherwise wouldn't.
