Yllcole (Yell-co-al)

A species of sentient monkey folk that have lived in many of the deep forest and jungles of the world. Small in stature but powerful of build, an average Yllcole could tear the arm from a human with only a moderate struggle. Despite their physical abilities, they tend to be aloof and friendly, they are difficult to draw into conflict. There is a myth that they have strange powers in their hairs, which could be considered true after a fashion. A hair, root and all, from the head of the Yllcole can make an illusion that is physical, as shadow conjuration, but they cannot grow the hair back if it is destroyed. And they take great pride in their hair. They hair male and female alike grows fast, long and, in the front naturally sweeps up and back. The style has become known widely as a Pomp, after a noble who was fascinated by the style to spread it into the wider world.
