Dwarf

Dwarves were hardy and resilient folks that were about half the height of a human, but often much wider and more muscular. Dwarves were generally considered one of the creator races, with a history spanning back to a time when humans were still figuring out fire and wheels. While dwarves had built kingdoms long before this age, they were prone to being content, unchanging in nature, and possessing none of the wanderlust and curiosity that spurred many other races into action and war. 
In Lymia, dwarves had long kept to their mountain homes, where they crafted marvelous arms and armor used by the old human empires. The Ishkari Empire inspired flocks of young dwarves to push against their own nature and see the world, challenging the old dwarven ways of life. When the empire fell, the dwarves became critical actors on the political scene, claiming territories around river valleys and some of the untouched land in the highlands near the mountains, where they occasionally clashed with the Avariel . 
The dwarves that now remain in Lymia are generally known as Desert Dwarves. Their skin tones range from a light tan to completely black, and their hair is black and curly. Accustomed to the harsh lands, they become excellent guides and adventurers, able to travel unhindered through the lands due to their unique physical nature.
