History

A necromancer by the name of Ushazhul Gravemore, was shunned a cast out from every community he attempted to settle in as a result of his magical practices. Being tired of the oppression, he allied with three other sorcerers who each represented the Venerable Tetralogy. Together they used their magic to pull an unclaimed small island from the ocean, causing it to float high in the sky. They moved the floating island over the Perfectus Nation towards the northeast region, to allow it to be more accessible to rest of the nation. From there the four founders used their magics to create, shape and build the city from the ground up. As many years went by, believers of the Venerable Tetralogy religion flocked to this floating island, and decided to help build this into the greatest city Odeon has ever seen. Being that it was a city constructed with magic, it sprung up faster than any other settlement in history.

Dragon Halt's rulers refused to pay a portion of their taxes to the Dominion of Man for protection, therefore the city is left to defend itself against any who would see it harm. Although relations between the city and the nation it resides are on good terms, there is no legal contract binding the two together. It has been made clear that as long as the city does not hinder or affect the nation or it's people then they will be left to do as they please.

Architecture

There are two levels to the city. The lower level is used for the residential districts, where the cylinder buildings stretch high to the stone base of the upper level of the city acting as support beams. The upper level serves as the commercial area. These structures are also of cylinder design however they are molded into a triangle shape roof to help with water flow. Buildings are crafted from perfectly smooth stone forged from magic. Most buildings contain windows, however never on the ground level floor of the structure. External doorways do not exist in the city, but rather each structure has a teleportation circle etched into a stone slab located near the property. Stepping within the circle allows the person to magically appear within, however, only if the resident allows it.

Geography

The floating piece of terrain the city is built upon is mostly made of rock, however, the surface area has been seeded with soil, grass trees, and bushes to create an appealing aesthetic.

Natural Resources

None, everything here is conjured from magic.
