Pedridas
King Pedridas
Last Aeulan • Counselor of Odalla • King of Odalla
Biography
Pedridas was the eldest and most respected of King Oudellar's counselors. After Oudellar was murdered, leaving only infant twin sons too young to rule, the counsel threw their support behind Pedridas as the next king. Another counselor, Rhydivern, objected to Pedridas' rule, desiring the crown for himself, and initiated a civil war known as the First Succession War. Pedridas defeated Rhydivern with the help of Ipoletus, Oudellar's father-in-law, and the aboriginal peoples native to Odalla. Rhydivern surrendered at the Battle of the Harvest Festival, and he and his co-conspirators were executed. One month to the day after Rhydivern surrendered, Pedridas was crowned king. On the same day, per conditions of his agreement with Ipoletus, Pedridas married his granddaughter, Myllysta, to the son of another Scylliae chieftan, whose name was Daru. Pedridas reigned for 11 years until he died in his sleep at the age of 81.Mental characteristics
