Mount Moneus
A volcano guarded by a dragon. The dragon will only allow them to pass if he deems them worthy. The dragon will consider them worthy if they have collected the two other orbs and can convince him, with a DC20 Persuasion check. If they don't pass the check, he can be bribed with gold, with more gold required for the lower they failed. The Volcano is divided up into 12 floors.
Floor 1:
Small stone platform, goes to volcano sides, in middle of platform is metallic elevator, with the interior glowing green. Inside is a down arrow sigil. When pressed, two doors close like an elevator and the it lowers to next floor. Floor 2:
When it reaches Floor 2, the interior and sigil now glow red. Door opens. Slightly bigger platform. Encounter 2. Elevator turns green when Kobolds are defeated. Floor 3:
Single locked chest, around edge of platform is ring of lava. Inscribed on the chest is "This is not the chest. The lava is not the key. In fact, its the opposite". Floor 4:
Encounter 4 Floor 5:
The elevator remains green. Carved into the floor is an intricate circle design. DC12 Acarna to tell its a summoning circle, DC17 to tell its for an elemental, DC20 to tell its a Fire Elemental. Written all around the circle is "Only those with the ring should dare to spark the circle with blood." If blood is placed anywhere on the summoning circle, it glows orange and a Fire Elemental appears in the circle. The elevator then turns red for two rounds. Floor 6:
Encounter 6 Floor 7:
On the wall is a countdown that glows red, counting down from 20. There's also a pedestal with a red button on it. Surrounding the pedestal is a pool of water with multiple fish swimming in it. A DC20 Nature Check tells them they're herring fish. Every time the button is pressed, the countdown resets to 20. With 10 seconds remaining, the whole area starts to rumble. With 5 seconds remaining, the button and pool start to flash red. With 3 seconds remaining there's a great rumbling. When time runs out, the elevator turns green. Floor 8:
Encounter 8 Floor 9:
Surrounding the elevator are 7 pedestals. Carved into the ground is the heptagram design, with each pedestal on each point. On one of them are a white tinderbox, a black tinderbox, a white candle, a black candle, a lantern, a mini wooden house, and a piece of parchment. The parchment is titled "The Cursed Immortals". On it is the poem: "They created the light and darkness within them. But yet they became afraid. They captured the light, but the darkness escaped, destroying all in his way." Players must light the white candle with the white tinderbox and the black candle with the black tinderbox. A white and dark flame in the shape of a phoenix will appear respectively. Players must then light the lantern with the white flame, which would subsequently disappear from the candle. Players must then drop the wooden house into the black flame. The flame will then ignite in fire, fall apart, and then the black flame disappears. Then the elevator turns green. Floor 10:
Encounter 10 Floor 11:
A rather large ring of lava surrounds the platform. In the middle of the room is a bright roaring fire. Next to it is an unlit torch. On the wall are 4 unlit torches as well. Once all torches have been lit, the elevator turns green. Floor 12:
Encounter 12 ""Congratulations on collecting The Orb of Fire! Your training is definitely almost complete." The volcano rumbles violently. Anyway, as I created this volcano, I know what's going to happen soon, so I'll be leaving you. I mean, I wouldn't die, but it would still be quite painful... I recommend you leave too." He snaps, and he disappears. The elevator is once again glowing green." "The elevator door closes, and starts descending. It starts accelerating to the point where it almost feels like a free fall. The elevator shakes violently, the vibrations getting more and more powerful. At this point it seems like you should be deep underground and under the sea level. The elevator stops with a screech and then a loud bang. The doors open, and you peer out into Princium Tower. It appears the elevator doors have replaced a section of the wall. The waterfall and secret door are both still visible. The final indentation on the throne is now glowing a bright orange.
