Captain is one of the two third ranks in the
Masked of Dantea as a faction military, next to
Knight. While knight are master warriors, captains are master strategists, who lead their soldiers into battle, giving out commands and executing strategies. They are needed for the military structure to work properly. Outside of battles they train the
Rookie rank.
Joining requirements:
A person of the rank of
Guard/ Warrior can join, after 5 years of service as the last rank.
Military equipment:
During work, captains wear a set of full plate
Arreum armor decorated with gold and a red cape. They use all sorts of weapons, most commonly a long sword with a round shield. To be distinguished, captains also have a pike with their faction's banner on it.
Training:
Captains go through 5 years of master tactics training, which they can continue further after that.
Responsibilities:
Captains need to serve during war and train
Rookie and
Guard/ Warrior ranks.
Special permissions:
Captains are permitted to kill in self defense, when feeling threatened or when someone's life is at risk. They don't need to wear masks during service and can unconditionally command any soldiers of a lower rank.
Schedule:
- From 6:00 to 12:00 they train the Rookie ranks
- From 12:00 to 13:00 they have lunch
- From 13:00 to 16:00 they they train the Rookie ranks
- From 16:00 to 18:00 they train themselves
