Ambrosia

Description:

Ambrosia tree is a thin tree, growing up to 2.3 meters tall. It has a smooth bark of grey-ish white color and leaves of lime green, to yellow. It grows golden yellow peach-like fruits.

Uses:

The only good use for the tree is as firewood. However, the sweet fruit is not only edible, but has many benefits.

Biology:

The fruit produces various chemicals, that stimulate the body, Slightly speeding up healing from diseases and wounds. One of those chemicals forces release of dopamine, reducing stress and giving a good feeling. The other is caffeine. Two fruits have enough to act as a cup of coffee.

Growth requirements:

Ambrosia needs it to be warm and sunny to grow and requires high quality soil that is the mix of sand and clay. The plant can´t handle strong winds, cold temperature or parasitic plants, as it is quite fragile.

Locations:

Because of the plant´s fragile nature and specific needs, it rarely can be found on the Whitestone Island. Dayneans domesticated the plant and grow the trees in large orchards.

Lore:

Dayneans see the plant as a gift from their goddess Dantea and value it greatly, allowing only higher-ranking officials of the religion to consume the fruit.
