Dune Scraper

Colossal Sand Worms that are found in the Parched Lands.   There is not much information about these behemoths. They roam beneath the deserts of The Parched Lands. Eventually, a Dune Scraper will burrow out of the ground and travel through the desert. It is still unknown as to where they are going or why they suddenly decide to surface.   Dune Scrapers have an incredibly strong shell that is virtually impenetrable. The only known way to successfully get through the shell is with another piece of shell.  Pieces of shell can be found around the desert, but it is incredibly rare to find intact. Once a Dune Scraper dies, the shell becomes very soft shortly after unless it is heated at 1700 degrees Celsius.    Before a Dune Scraper surfaces, large waves or "Ripples" in the sand can be spotted. The time between the Ripples being sighted and the Dune Scraper surfacing varies. The shortest duration being 5 minutes and the longest duration being 2 hours.

Anatomy

Each hydration sac is roughly 5ft in diameter and can contain up to 2000 small hydration pellets. When a pellet is consumed, it can hydrate the average human for one day without them needing any additional water.
