Goldclaw Castle

Goldclaw Castle is the main holding of the Duchy of Karhaven, serving both as the residence of the Duke and his family and housing the duchy's military forces. It is well fortified and strategically located, though it was breached many times throughout history.

Purpose / Function

Originally Goldclaw was erected to oversee the mining operations taking place in Karhil, and it was expanded upon over centuries. Circa 1010 AC a large scale renovation added servent's quarters, a whole new wing, and fitted the keep with proper accomodations, turning it into the new home for the noble family ruling Karhaven.
