Nu-Humans

Nu-humans are usually just referred to as humans, though there is some important distinctions between them and their ancestors. Primarily is the use of cybernetics with the rich being more robot than human, not that they'll ever show it though. The days when you could show off your cool new augmentations are long behind us. Now any half-rate grinder can get a cybernetic leg with a cup holder included. What's really impressive is one that not only provides ice, but also looks completely natural.
Lower class citizens are tend to have much more noticeable enhancements, with clearly metallic arms missing a couple fingers, or visible spinal tubes though most are painted to blend in with skin. This ends on the street level where the typical rebellion from the mainstream has made visible, intensely colored enhancements fashionable among otherwise dark clothing. Old fashioned respirators protrude from necks or hang over mouths. Even hair is often interwoven with or completely replaced by yarn and wires.

There are those who chose not to get any cybernetics at all due to the emphasis the emphasis in Arielism that God have chosen humans among all Their other creatures and to choose not to become human is a sin against Their will. Still, most pay no mind to such extremists and instead argue that the human body is not what counts, as long as long as one still has a human soul.

Growth Rate & Stages

Nu-humans live far longer than their ancestors, with the rich able to fight off the effects of aging for several hundred years before telomere treatments start proving ineffective. Even the poor can live to be well over 100 should they not succumb to violence first.
The age rates of children largely depend more on fashion than actual biology. In some tougher places, children can be injected with hormones to age them to adulthood within only 10 years, but in most places it is preferred to keep them young and cute for as long as possible usually averaging 30-40 years. Though some child celebrities have remained the same age (at least physically) for over a hundred years, before they're careers demand a change.
