Falhage Terrepees (Teh-rah-peas)

Falhage Terrepees inhabited the area around the Flahage mine. As the mine expanded, the miners started to domesticate these beasts to work for them. The Falhage Terrepees were a bi-pedal, stone looking creature. While they are larger and stronger than the average human, they have a very docile temperament, making them easily tameable by the miners. Their skin has a stony, cracked texture and some believe that they are descended from the ancient stone golems that used to roam the earth with the other elementals.   The Terrepees were employed in the smelting area of the mine. Their strength was put to good use, turning cranks to make conveyor belts move and pumping bellows to keep the fires raging.   It is unknown how long Terrepees live for, but the oldest known Terrepees, named Ginah (gii-nah) lived for 500 years after domestication, and died while trying to save miners from a cave in. It's bravery and sacrifice was appreciated by both miners and Terrepees alike, so much so that a tomb was made in the wall of the mine. Ginah's tomb was filled with gifts and offerings and magically sealed so that the tomb could remain undisturbed. A shrine was was created just outside the door and over time Ginah became revered by the miners, who often left tributes at the shrine and prayed for protection while they were down in the mines.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

It is unclear how the Falhage Terrepees reproduce. The process was never revealed to the mine inhabitants but it is believed that the Terrepees carved their likeness in stone before performing a magic ritual to bring the stone alive. Because of their extreme lifespan, however, they only needed to reproduce if one was destroyed through unforeseen circumstances.
