Falhage Mine (Fal-hahj)
The Falhage mine is often regarded as the original mine that made the kingdom of Stonebia. It was so profitable and revered that throughout history the rightful rulers of the realm have often staked their claim based on their ownership of the mine. However, as the realm's economy diversified, the mine's ownership became of less importance until it was eventually lost during a particularly bloody succession crisis.
The mine’s door was often magically and mechanically sealed during times of conflict. To make this a quick process, the mine foreman was taught basic runic magic. The thought process was that more basic Magic’s would stump, or at least delay, any spellcaster since they would start by trying to counter a higher level of magic than what was used. Furthermore, the door could only be opened by touching the correct runes in order unless they tried to brute force their way through.
The mine was sealed multiple times during the aforementioned succession crisis as the rival claimant and boy king at the time took the mine and then braced for attack. After the final time the rival claimant asked the mine to be sealed until he returns, so it could not be taken by the enemy faction again. The rival claimant and many of his followers fell in the final battle of the crisis and the mines location was lost but to a few people; and with the mine’s foreman being a straight edge type of guy he sealed the mine, damming himself and the other miners to their doom.
