Temple of the South Wind

If only you could see it. A city unto itself, with delicate, round towers rising to the sky, topped with shallow copper domes, and embellished with granite, jade and lapis lazuli. Broad walls of white-washed stone wound around it, hung with crimson banners, and capped in deadly battlements. And there, against the tide of the Great Sea, stood the Tower. Wider at the base than it's heavenward peak, it looked like the trunk of some colossal tree that might have lived in the days before mortal Kindred walked the earth. It rose hundreds of feet into the air. It's outer walls were a spiral of arches, row on row on row, weaving about the monolith to it's own gilded dome. Often, in evenings or mornings when the south wind blew, the tower would glow with a soft crimson light and the people of the city would greet one another with blessings of peace and grace. This was the home of the Pillar of Heaven. This was the Temple of the South Wind.
