Sukhara Yarosh

Sukhara Yarosh or the Road of Jarosh, is a broad thoroughfare carved and built along the mountains of Uman Helin. It was conceived by its namesake, Jarosh, and built by his people with the help of their brethren the Jaronites. It was a wonder of the time, often ducking into long, hand-carved tunnels under mountain peaks or extending out onto great bridges that spanned the deeper passes, while still being broad enough for twenty dwarves to walk on it abreast. The building of the bridge was highly auspicious though in a tragic way as it allowed for the mass of refugee Jaronites to pass into the relative safety of the west along a swift, safe passage while they were being hunted during the Belcoronim conquest.

Purpose / Function

The road was initially intended to provide a safe and quick mode of transport between the Jaroshite lands and those of the Jonathites. At the time, Barcalanon was under threat of the Harkosoi and needed an alternate route by which they could trade with Coronim. Jarosh permitted trade through Belcor's Gap after which point the caravans would have to pass through the difficult and dangerous Al Marakh desert. Sukhara Yarosh offered a much safer, faster and more comfortable mode of trade.
