Pillar of the West Wind

On the westernmost point of Nov Matar there sits the Pillar of the Sun, one of the eight Pillars of Heaven. About ten feet across at the base and a hundred feet high, the pillar is rough-hewn out of what looks like pure amber. It glows a warm orange hue when a soft west wind blows about it.
