Pillar of the Moons

On the northwestern corner of Nov Matar there sits the Pillar of the Moons, one of the eight Pillars of Heaven. About ten feet across at the base and a hundred feet high, the pillar is rough-hewn out of what looks like pure white moonstone. Always in it is the light of the white moon, and it glows a brilliant white when the moons are full. In addition it glows even stronger under the Alignment of the Moons, and is filled with all the colors of the sky under the aligning moons.
Before the Pillar was so harshly defended, many of that land would send loved ones who were sick and hurt and all they need to to be restored was to but lie in the presence of the pillar for the night. All but the dead could be restored to health, it was said. And many who would learn the arts of healing went there so they could discover how the process worked, and through such studies the art of healing was founded.
