The county is a small one, with only 770,000 hectares in size.  It is landlocked in the centre of western Giulia.  The Uikunaarnertaa river runs from north to south in the county but is not really able to have any shipping on it due to how small and shallow it is.

The county is rural with the main products being general agriculture and timber.   The Uikunaarnertaa river has a number of water-powered grist mills and lumber mills on it.
