Izmitliski, Capital of Achi

In the wetlands of Achi there is a grand city, older than any other, built time and time again in the same spot. Izmitliski, the town of fertile fields. It has been a city under many nations, in the past millennium it was a part of Senvilterre, the republic of the free Rumberg, Giulia, and now Achi. With all of that history there is remnants of the lives lead by the people before. Churches standing from a time before the Biyererere deities, and taverns owned by fifteen generations of inkeeps.

Government

For the Achi Empire, it is their greatest thorn. It is unwilling to exile the many enemies of the state that live behind its grand walls, and threaten to split from the empire if they are pushed around too much. They are still a great source of economic power, filling Achus' warchest, so he allows their continued existence.

Defences

The walls of the city are the greatest in the world, with layers strong enough to hod back a stampede of wistbeasts. The city guard is also a formidable force, made largely from retired adventurers.

Infrastructure

The public resources are rather grand, supporting a working sewage system, aqueducts, and a strong wall protecting the ever fought over city. This has been built in layers, with great fires and storms offering a chance just often enough to fix the mistakes of the past.

Guilds and Factions

The greatest thing Izmitliski is known for, is how it is a great place to meet adventurers. Warriors and great mages from across Cantumland make their longest stays in the grand city, and many bands and guilds place their headquarters in the area.

Tourism

For tourists, the city has the greatest sights and best climate outside of Poille. The great forests that surround the city and the grand river that runs through is a sight to behold.

Architecture

The culture and people of the town are complex and multicultural, with so many flavours and art forms running through the streets that entire movements in the arts have been born from the city. This is reflected in the ornate and gilded buildings that line the main street, but also in the public gardens, and the well thought out design of the various districts.

Geography

Ikavsaupik runs through the city, a river nearly 2 kilometers wide. Most people cross the river in large rafts that run parallel to the current, or across one of the two bridges.

Natural Resources

The river delta is a provider of plentiful irrigation for the surrounding fields. The forests are a source of lumber, sent down the river to the craftsmen of the city.
