Sildar Hallwinter

Sildar Hallwinter is a middle-aged human male who serves as a captain in the Lords' Alliance, a group of allied political powers who pursue mutual security and prosperity by working to bring law and order to lawless places. Though the Alliance operates chiefly in Greyhawk, Vindr, and other settled areas, they have begun operations in the Lakelands as Falls City has grown in stature and power. Sildar is a companion of Gundren Rockseeker's. The two met decades ago when Sildar was a young man volunteering as a freedom-fighter in a local militia in a small Vindrin town. After Gundren left Vindr, their relationship continued for the purpose of exchanging valuable information about the war with the Hibold. When Sildar and Gundren both happened to be in Bordertown at the same time, they met for a drink as they had many times before. It quickly became clear that Sildar and Gundren both had their sights set on the Lakelands Region, though for entirely different reasons. They resolved to travel together.
Sildar is kindhearted and honorable. He believes unequivocally in the purpose of the Lords' Alliance and is ready to give his life to bring law, peace, and order to the innocent people who long for its soothing presence. He was shaken to find that his old companion, Iarno Albrek, and another Lord, had abandoned his values for malice, greed, and spite. He resolved to transport Iarno as a disgraced prisoner to Bordertown and then to Vulnmir to be held accountable by a tribunal of the Lords' Alliance.
