Norath
War has come to Norath. From their harsh lands in the North, the Hibold have swept across the land like an inexorable tide, laying waste to all in their path. Led by a creature of unspeakable evil, they raze the cities in their path and salt the earth wherever they go.
But hope is not yet lost. In the land of Vindr, four adventurers have destiny thrust upon them when they accept the patronage of two mysterious dwarves. In desperation, the dwarves, on the run like so many others, give the group a magical book, the reader of whom may yet be able to alter the course of the world, before all turns to ash.
