Harbin Wester

Harbin Wester was the 39th Townmaster of Phandalin. Native to Ebrefael, Wester worked his way into local politics at an early age. By 25, he was a councilman in Braeport, a post that he held for twelve years before he was run out of town in the wake of a controversy: the fat politician had been found by city authorities at an illegal visgum-fueled orgy, naked, high, and tangled in drapes. He traveled to the Lakelands Region to start anew. Posting up in Phandalin, his honey-laced words and willingness to be bought out quickly put him at the forefront of the town's admittedly scant political sphere.
Though it was never proven that Harbin Wester was on the Redbrands' payroll, the townmaster was entirely unwilling to acknowledge the Redbrands as a threat to the peace, prosperity, or freedom of the people of Phandalin. The very same day that Sildar Hallwinter departed for Bordertown with Iarno Albrek as his prisoner, Harbin Wester was found with a broken neck at the bottom of a stairwell having apparently fallen to his death.
