Elmar Barthen

Elmar Barthen is a lifelong resident of Phandalin. He owns and operates Barthen's Goods, a general store that was started by his grandfather, Athelton Barthen. He deals in common goods and trinkets, as well as adventuring gear, and is mostly happy-go-lucky. He has no living relatives, but is well-liked by the people of Phandalin.
His a friend of Gundren Rockseeker's and was prepared to receive the adventurers as well as the "birthday" goods they were transporting. When the party arrived in Phandalin with Gundren's provisions, Barthen offered to house the items and board the horse while the four adventurers embarked on their journey to rescue the scheming dwarf.
